The touch and go jet I did think was CGI, although it's worth noting that residents of Dunsfold were alerted that a 747 or something else big would be flying in at one point for the filming. I noticed most of the airport stuff as I know Dunsfold and seeing the lights of a city on the horizon was quite surprising. Steve Begg did very very well methinks!!! In all there were about 580 visual effects shots!! The big touch and go jet was CG, rendered by Peerless Camera Company.įor those with observant eyes: On the second model shot of the plane coming out of the hangar, look top left and the man standing on a gantry has "Meddings Ltd" written on him! The reason was because the whole scene was shot at Dunsfold Aerodrome near London, and was just a deserted airstrip with nothing in the background. ![]() ![]() ![]() All the environments are digital mattes/miniatures. The airport had 145 shots, which is the most in the film. The construction site fight had 104 VFX shots- green screen, wire removal, set extensions.
